Rep. John Dingell, D-Michigan (I am *really* surprised) proposes a 50 cent gas tax per gallon to help cut fuel consumption (Read about it here and here).
Once again, we have Democrats proposing to raise taxes to fix a problem. It never ends with these people. Is Mr. Dingell intent on economic suicide? This guy cannot be serious. Un-freaking-believable.
Like Mr. Dingell knows anything about economics in the first place given the severe economic dire straights the state of Michigan is in. But then again, Michigan's economic woes are the fault of the Republicans, just like any well trained liberal Democrat will tell you.
And has Rep. John Dingell even once considered the absolute detrimental impact such a 50 cent tax on every gallon of gasoline would have on the U.S. Economy? Of course not. Why? Because liberal Democrats don't know anything about economics, and how capitalism works. Liberal Democrats are anti-capitalist, political opportunists who think more taxes and bigger government are the solutions to the human condition.
Mr. Dingell also wants a "carbon tax." There you go, I knew that was coming; and I told you so. I told you global warming/climate change was nothing more than an excuse for our lawmakers and political leaders to acquire more money and power.
And while we're at it Mr. Dingell, let's put a tax on how much we all fart and how much air we all breathe. That's right, we'll all wear an electronic sensor apparatus over our nose (with a wired sensor to our anal cavity to record fart emissions - after all, aren't farts contributing to global warming/climate change?) which will keep a precise record as to how much air we are breathing (and farting out) so we can better keep track of how much we should tax the American people. Maybe we can get Rob to design the breathing/farting meter apparatus, sound good to you, Rob?
