Damn That Man Made Global Warming! - Part IV

Yep, that damn global warming is snowing showing its ugly face again.
We're all doomed, snow is falling at rate of 1-2 inches per hour!
That being said, would you care to purchase another carbon offset?

And here is yet another reason why I refuse to subscribe to this global warming/climate change bullshit.

You realize the complete fallacy behind this statement, I hope.

Can you do a basic equation describing the energy balance of the Earth, including incident and reflected radiation? Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere decreases the reflected radiation -- so what happens to your basic model if you increase CO2 in the atmosphere?

What possible effects could cause the energy retention caused by CO2 to be mitigated?

That's the sort of argument you need to make. The argument you actually presented is something Rush Limbaugh would come up with.

Rush claims that CFCs couldn't deplete ozone because the reaction CFC+ 2 O3 --> 3 O2 and thus all the CFCs would be used up. Unfortunately for Rush, the halogens (the CFCs are broken up before reacting with the Ozone) don't get used up in the reaction. It's the difference between a reactant and a catalyst.

If you were arguing science, I'd take you seriously. As is, I have to wonder about the scientific education you've received over the years.

Ouch. Unfortunately, not all of us are smart enough to be scientists like you, Rob. :-)

Forget your "basic equation," Rob. The evidence is clearly in front of you and you choose to ignore it

How do you explain the sudden surge in cooling on the planet, Rob?

How do you explain the other planetary bodies in our solar system getting warmer, Rob?

How do you explain the drive-by media changing the name "global warming" to "climate change," Rob?

How do you explain this winter having made the top ten list for snowiest winters in Erie, Rob? with a bit under 116 total inches officially with more snow predicated through this Sunday, Rob?

What is even more fascinating is all of the top ten have occurred within the last forty or so years, nine within the last thirty years & five within the last eight years.

But then again, you'll throw your equations at me, attempting to justify your global warming/climate change religious beliefs.

You asking me to run a basic equation on this is like asking me to run a basic equation as to why the sun goes through hot and cooling cycles like it always has since the beginning of time. Are we the cause of past ice ages too, Rob?

And yet, you have the braggart attitude to sit there and question my scientific knowledge. I admit, I'm obviously not the gifted person you claim to be, but then again, one doesn't need a scientific degree to figure out what's going on here.

To each his own I guess.
