A Few Adjustments Taking Place

I decided to make a few changes around here.  First off, I am growing tired of keeping my mouth shut in terms of political commentary; especially given the very critical timeframe we're all in right now.  I've also modified the title of this blog to reflect the change.  I'll be not only commenting about politics when I feel like it, I'll be commenting about anything else which I feel is important enough for me to rant about.

Well, that being said, allow me to begin my first political rant of 2008.

I've officially had enough.  I've had enough of the bickering, I've had enough of the finger pointing, and I've had enough of the whiny left wing moonbats pointing fingers at the holier than thou right wing conservatives.  When will the American people ever wake up and realize that the Democrats and Republicans are not the political parties they once used to be?

Both political parties are bringing us all down.  Why?  It does not take much to figure out that members of both political parties are in it for two things, and two things only.

The first item is the all important vote.  Votes are paramount on the list of every politician of both political parties; and they all will do anything to get their beloved votes, and even more to hold onto them.

The second thing is money; and all members of both political parties will do anything it takes to line their pockets with money.

Do you honestly think the Democrats and Republicans care about upholding the Constitution of the United States of America?
Do you honestly think the Democrats and Republicans care about our national security?
Do you honestly think the Democrats and Republicans care about your healthcare system?
Do you honestly think the Democrats and Republicans care about you in general?

If you say "yes" to all of the above, let me ask you this:

Why is our great country in the shape it's in then?  Need examples?  Well, allow me.  Below are my top four.  Oh, there are more, and I'll get to those in a later post.

(1)  Education system -  Our public schools are cranking out young adults who really don't care about anything with the exception of what time Lost or American Gladiators comes on television.  Our children lack in what was once known as basic, elementary knowledge such as basic geography or basic grammar and mathematics.  All of the young adults out there are not getting the education they should be getting.  You don't believe me, do you?  Ok, fine, watch this:

After watching the above video, I can't help but wonder why the teacher unions continue to ask for more and more money every single time their contracts are up for renewal.

(2)  Open borders - Show me the last time the Democrats and Republicans cared about our national security, more specifically illegal immigration.  If the Democrats and Republicans both viewed illegal immigrants as "ILLEGAL" then why haven't they done anything about it?  To this day, the politicians of both political parties continue to do nothing except tread lightly in fear of losing the all important Hispanic vote.  When will someone step up to the plate and ask the Democrats and Republicans both the simple question of "What part of the word "illegal" do you all not understand in the phrase "illegal immigrant?"  I have observed all the coined titles our politicians come up with to describe illegal immigrants such as "non citizen" and "non privileged."  That goes to show you how stupid our politicians think we the American people are.  Feel insulted yet?  You should be.

(3) Drilling for our own oil - What is it going to take for someone to tell the environmentalists to step aside and allow our infrastructure to expand as it should?  When will the American people wake up to the fact that the environmentalists are the cause for the current situation we're all in in terms of the high prices we're now facing at the pump?  You can thank the environmentalists and the huge influence they hold over our lawmakers in Washington for the various blends (I believe there are as many as 12 now) of gasoline being distributed throughout various regions of our country.  Just go here, and here for more information.

New refineries?  Don't ask me.  Ask the environmentalists and our lawmakers in Washington.
Drilling for out own oil?  Don't ask me.  Ask the environmentalists and our lawmakers in Washington.

Technologies exist today which have an absolute minimal impact on the environment in terms of drilling for oil.  That being said, why are we not making use of these technologies?  Instead, we'll continue to give the Middle East our money, all the while they tell us to bend over and grab our heels.  Makes sense to pay for foreign oil when we have the capability to drill for our own here, doesn't it?  No, but it makes perfect sense when you're a politician in Washington getting money under the table from the many environmentalist groups out there.  Do you feel outraged yet?  You should be.

(4) Reinstatement of The Fairness Doctrine -  Both political parties have members who are in strong favor of bringing back the Fairness Doctrine.

From Wikipedia:

"The Fairness Doctrine was a United States FCC regulation requiring broadcast licensees to present controversial issues of public importance in a manner deemed by the FCC to be honest, equitable and balanced."

Sound scary? It should. Check this out.

The Fairness Doctrine is nothing more than a direct violation of the First Amendment, but then again, what do our lawmakers care, especially given all I've outlined so far?

It all boils down to this:  The Democrats and Republicans both have had more than a chance to prove themselves.  How many years of Democrat and Republican rule have we endured as a nation, with no positive results benefiting the American people?  Negative results?  We got plenty. Thanks to the Democrats and Republicans we now have higher taxes, an ever growing national debit, a defunct welfare system aka: redistribution of the wealth, horrid energy policies which do nothing but increase our dependence on foreign oil, a defunct educational system, open borders, September 11, 2001, and a war in Iraq which should have ended long ago if it was done right in the first place. What took so long for the positive results we're now seeing?  I'd really like to know, wouldn't you?  Let's get the job done, hunt these terrorists down around the world, and kill them all like the barbarians they are.  What's so hard about that?  We have the technology to see a flea's ass from a satellite in space, but we cannot find Bin Laden?  Ok, so I'm being a bit dramatic, but I hope you get the point I'm trying to make.

Yep, I think it's pretty safe to say I've had enough.

How about you?
