First Infrared Photographs

Below are the first couple of a handful of infrared shots I got off today with the new Hoya R72 infrared filter:

The originals along with several other infrared images can be viewed via the new infrared photo gallery by clicking here, or on the link located on the sidebar.

Update I've noticed that when I click on an original photograph in the image gallery, the original will sometimes contain excessive "digital noise," not to mention the colors can be a bit graduated.   This is not how the original image appears, however.  I speculate that this "digital noise" is caused by the software program I use to watermark each image.  This can be eliminated with a digital watermark, so I may have to look into digital watermarking instead.

The photos are cool. The unprocessed images from your camera are far easier to look at than from mine.

Sorry I haven't commented before.

Thank you, Rob. Each exposure averages 25 seconds of shutter time...a couple are 30 seconds. Tripods are a must for this, that's for sure.
