More Infrared Photography Effects

I went outside following supper this evening looking for subject(s) that would look cool under infrared.  Since I've purchased PaintShop Pro XI, I've been toying around heavily with the infrared effect.  It's so cool.

For those interested in the viewing the original, it's available under the Fall image gallery.

I now have the itch to get into infrared photography, all thanks to Rob, over at Unspace.  Check out his infrared photography, it's so cool.  Infrared adds an almost "alien" feeling to the shots done in infrared.

I believe I am going to go with Rob's advice and purchase a Hoya R72 infrared filter for my Rebel XT SLR.
Many thanks for your advice, Rob.

Believe it or not, the best price I found was on eBay.

My articles give some info about how to take the shots and how to process them. Based on the histogram on that one page I linked to, you may have more to deal with in the RGB balancing than I do, and as they said, different lenses do make a difference.

Best of all, take a bright day and just go play around. With mine, I can actually get good IR shots without a tripod and with autofocus. YMMV.
