Cross Creek Park

I've accumulated a number of vacation days, so I thought it would be nice to take off this past Thursday and Friday.  On Friday morning, I got it in me to venture out to Cross Creek Park to see what I can see, especially since it's been two years since I was there when I captured some really nice Fall foliage photos.

I've posted the best photos from Friday's shoot in the Image Gallery (titled "Fall 2006" most appropriately).  Funny, some days I can get off nearly 100 shots and only a small handful are worthy of keeping, whereas other days I can get off nearly 100 shots and almost all of them are worth keeping. Photography always works in strange ways.

I usually find photography to be most rewarding when I do not have any expectations at all before I go out shooting.  If I do have expectations, I rarely meet them and the day is basically ruined because of the pressure I've put upon myself.  Photography should be all about the fun of "just being out there" and taking pictures, and not the pressure of trying to get that "winning" photograph.
