Friday's Feast #106

Here is my attempt at the Friday's Feast.

Appetizer
Tell about a toy you remember from your childhood.

I would have to say Matchbox cars. The "real" Matchbox cars, the models which were made in England. I had such a nice collection of them. I can remember playing with them for hours and hours on top of a blanket on my bed. I'd make the blanket take shapes of hills and mountains (when my imagination went really wild!). I still have most of my Matchbox cars, some of which I've passed onto my son to play with.

Soup
If you could make one thing in the world absolutely free for everyone, what would it be?

Peace for everyone. That should always be free.

Salad
Approximately how many times per day do you think about your significant other?

My wife is my best friend, lover, and life long companion. She is one of the most understanding people I've ever known, not to mention one of the most generous. I would have to say that I think about my wife at the very least once per hour while I am at work.

Main Course
What is something you believe in 100%?

I am convinced that as long as economics drives us, we will never, ever truly progress as a species. Everything is about money. Everything. Money corrupts. It's all about power and money. Always has been. Always will be.

Dessert
Name one thing you have done this week that you would consider a "good deed."

As I was almost at my destination to work yesterday, I came to a red light and then noticed the car to my left had a flat right rear tire. I rolled my window down, honked my horn and the driver looked over at me. I then told her that her right rear tire was flat. She thanked me and proceeded to the service station which followed the red light. I believe I saved her a great deal of hassle which definitely would of crept up on her later.

IMHO, you are EXACTLY right about the Main Course.

Sad, but true.
