August 2006 Microsoft Security Bulletins

It's once again that time for us Microsoft Windows users.  For those of you running servers,  MS06-040 is especially bad, since a machine could be compromised by a simple sending of malformed network packets.  Go to http://update.microsoft.com as soon as possible in order to download and install this month's array of security fixes.  Below is the list in greater detail.
  • MS06-040:  Vulnerability in Server Service Could Allow Remote Code Execution (921883)  (pay particular attention to this one and patch immediately!  There is potential for another "Blaster" type of worm here)
