A Big Thank You

I had the pleasure of running into several brave guys serving in the United States Army today.  It was at a local BP station, and while I was filling up the car, I noticed these guys filling up their military vehicle(s).  I took the time to shake each of their hands and thank them for their service to this country, and to tell them what an awesome job they are doing.

We need to do this.  We need to show our military men and women how much they mean to us, and to thank them for defending the freedoms we enjoy and take for granted each and every day.

Hey Braden,
When you get a chance, go visit my friend Harry X at his new blogsite: http://x-world-paradise.blogspot.com/ - he's a military man and I think you'll like what he has to say ALOT.

Hugs to you

He's right. He hit the nail directly on the head with his very first post.

Every time I see one of our troops, I thank them for their service. There are times when we get to talking, especially the really young men, and they end up divulging all of their zest and fears that coincide within.

Although they aren't supposed to hug in uniform, many of them will give hugs. Sometimes, a kind word...a handshake...or even a hug...make being away from home a tad bit easier.

I know it did, for my husband and me, when we were at Camp Pen, far from home.

I agree. All Americans should be doing this. It is our duty to them for their service and sacrifice.
