The wife and I took our son to
Kennywood today. It was a fantastic day to go to Kennywood. The first ride we went on is an all-time classic, the
Turnpike. Our son was thrilled to go on the mile long track, complete with bridges and overpasses.
After the Turnpike ride, we headed to the
Log Jammer. I forgot how fun the Log Jammer ride is. I was soaked once the ride was finished. Today could not of been any better for such a ride because the cold water felt so good.
After-wards, we headed off to the
Potato Patch for some yummy french fries with cheese, and then we treated ourselves to some
Dippin'Dots. I never had Dippin'Dots before and it was such a wonderful experience. Dippin'Dots are tiny balls of very cold ice cream. They look a lot like those small dot-like packing peanuts. The experience of eating Dippin'Dots was so cool in fact, that I went for a second large serving of the bannana split flavor. My wife had the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor. I highly recommend everyone to try Dippin'Dots if given the chance.
After lunch, we headed off to
Kiddieland for our son to have some fun. He enjoyed riding the
Crazy Trolly,
Kenny's Karousel, and the
Steel City Choppers.
