Lu Lu's Noodle Shop

There is something to be said about a worthwhile place to grab a good lunch.

LuLu's Noodle Shop, located on 400 South Craig Street (412-687-7777) is just the place.  They have an assortment of Oriental dishes which will make your taste buds sing in delight.  My personal favorite is the Wonton Noodle Soup noodle bowl.  It's loaded with "shrimp and pork filled dumplings served over fresh noodles flown from San Francisco, in a light seasoned broth."

Needless to say, it's absolutely delicious.  And be prepared to bring your appetite, this bowl is huge.  The wontons are so good, each bursting with a generous amount of shrimp and pork filling, all at just the right size.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it, even though I did treat myself to it for lunch today.

I accompanied two of my co-workers to LuLu's today and their meals looked very good as well.  One had the General Tso's chicken which was a huge plate of "crispy chicken coated with general Tso's sauce."  Quite the huge helping, for sure.

My other co-worker tried something new to him.  He had the Dr. Fu Special, which consisted of thin fried noodles with chicken and vegetables served with looked like a plum sauce(?).  It looked really tasty, which I will definitely try the very next time I visit LuLu's.
