Autumn Morning Photo Blogging

Last Saturday, I drove to Mingo Creek County Park for early morning photography.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to return home with pretty much next to nothing.
Well, I tried again this morning, and I am glad I did.

Mingo Creek Park is so beautiful in the Fall.  I spent nearly three hours there this morning, and shot over 300 photographs.

Of course, I picked from what I thought was 'the best" and created a "Autumn 2008 Mingo Creek" gallery, as shown via the sidebar "Image Galleries."
Here are a couple excerpts, you'll have to view the gallery to see the rest:

All in all, I was rewarded for being there at 8 AM.
Wouldn't you say?

Time Machine

A lot of you younger folks didn't have the pleasure of pinball machines in your earlier years like I did.  I've played many, many pinball machines as a kid.  The one table I fell in love with when I was in my early twenties was Data East's "Time Machine."  This table had the best action, the best scoring, the best sound effects accompanied by a rockin' digital stereo musical theme.  I was quite pleased to find an absolutely accurate clone of my favorite pinball machine via Visual Pinball. When running with Pinmame, you can run the very same factory machine ROMs for a near perfect rendition.  This table rocks!

Here's a video of the real pinball machine in action.

Pretty neat, huh?

More pinball!  Shoot again!

The Welfare Office

Via email:

Visit to the Welfare Office

A woman walks into the downtown welfare office, trailed by 15 kids.  'WOW!'
the social worker exclaims. "Are they all yours?"

"Yep, they are all mine," the flustered momma sighs, having heard that
question a thousand times before.  She says, "Sit down, Leroy."  All the
children rush to find seats.

"Well," says the social worker, "then you must be here to sign up.  I'll
need all your children's names."

"Well, to keep it simple, the boys are all named 'Leroy' and the girls are
all named 'Leighroy'."

In disbelief, the case worker asked, "Are you serious?  They're ALL named
Leroy?"

Their momma replied, "Well, yes.  It makes it easier.  When it's time to get
them out of bed and ready for school, I yell, 'Leroy!'  And when it's time
for dinner, I just yell 'Leroy!' and they all comes a runnin'.  An' if I
need to stop the kid who's running into the street, I just yell 'Leroy!' and
all of them stop.  It's the smartest idea I ever had, namin' them all
Leroy."

The social worker thinks this over for a bit, then wrinkles her forehead and
says tentatively, "But what if you just want 1 kid to come, not the whole
bunch?"

"Then, I call them by their last names."

Bahahaha!!!!

Obama on Bill Ayers Violent Past: "I Didn't Know"

Barack Obama claims he didn't know about Bill Ayers past?
Doesn't Obama read?  Is he *that* misinformed?  And yet, Barack Obama thinks he has what it takes to be President of the United States when he doesn't even know the history of Ayers violent past?  Pardon me while I laugh out loud here.

Oh come on
!  I can't believe the American people are falling for this stooge.

Here's A Thought ...

If Barack Hussein Obama really believes in this so called "change" he peddles, then why doesn't he give back all the money he received throughout the years from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?  That's right, especially when he knew those organizations were failing, ignored numerous warnings from the Bush Administration, and took the money anyway.

H/T to Drew for bringing up this most excellent point.

That's Some Kitchen Table

“Ladies and gentlemen, your kitchen table is like mine, you sit there at night after you put the kids to bed and you talk, you talk about what you need. You talk about how much you are worried about being able to pay the bills.”  - Joe Biden

Just think, the above quote comes from a man who owns this:

Oh yeah, I wonder what sort of carbon footprint Joe Biden's mansion generates per year.
