Think again.  There’s plenty to listen to.

Shortwave radio is a fun way to learn about the surrounding world around you.  I’ve spent many, many hours out on the deck with a cigar in one hand, and one of my trusty Sony shortwave radios in the other.  The stuff you can bring up on shortwave can be downright entertaining.

These guys put up a post called “Is there anything to listen to on shortwave radio.”  It’s A-number one prime reading if you’re into shortwave, or if you’re a beginner.  Either way, it’s good stuff.
