The Caffeine Made Me Do It

The World We Live In

Written By: Braden - May• 10•12

I am astonished at this irrational, mindless world we live in.  The world that -we- created.  Seriously.  If I were from a visiting alien species from another planet I’d pass the planet Earth right up.  Damn straight I would.  Especially if I knew what I know now.  The people of this world haven’t learned a damn thing.  Past wars, conflicts, etc. taught us absolutely nothing.  Society is as stupid if not stupider than ever.  What do we do instead?  We push this “tolerance” bullshit on each other.  How do we do this?  We let the minority rule the majority.  That’s how.  Through the lawmakers.  Through the lobbyists.  Local, state, federal.  It doesn’t matter.  It’s all over the place.  Everywhere you look.  It’s like an infestation hiding in the woodwork.  Just waiting to come out.  We have to be tolerant. Our government(s) push it down our throats, non-stop; nearly every waking moment.

We have to be “politically correct.”  We cannot offend our neighbor, we have to tolerate their beliefs, principles, or whatever.  Okay, fine.  If that’s how it has to be.  So be it.

With that being said, then why cannot I wear a “Straight Pride Day” shirt in public and not be mocked, ridiculed, and/or labeled a “homophobe?”

Tolerance my ass.
I’m just saying.

  1. The minority is waiting until they become the majority, to push for true democracy: MAJORITY RULES. That is where this is headed. Once they get to that point, it will revert itself to a small group controlling the will of the majority.

    Is this Rome??

I find it fascinating that people are upset over the recent NC vote regarding the definition of “marriage.” Now, the pro-gay community is vowing to fight it. What? The voter voices of NC isn’t good enough? So much for the democratic process. See, that’s how liberals are. The voice of the voters isn’t enough. If they don’t get it through the democratic process, they take it to the courts and will appeal until they get a sympathetic liberal judge to side with them.

We’re torn and frayed for sure. I believe we should fire every politician on both sides, install term limits, disband the unions, rework lobbying, and let the states represent themselves., and I could go on and on. I live in NC, and voted, and realize this is going to be a huge mess. The people around here are just about tired of this shit. Before it’s over, the people might actually take to the streets. I going to buy some more bullets, and I’m also looking a splitting a reloading rig with a friend. I don’t know how to do it, but she does, and I’m a fast learner. The whole wide world is in big trouble.

I agree with you 100% — Problem is, not one of your suggestions will ever see the light of day. We’re fucked.

If I were an alien species, I would wipe humanity off, plunder the resources, and move on. Trying to make a deal with or figure out humanity would be an exercise in frustration.

Actually, your solution is better; which is also sad to say. Isn’t it astonishing when it comes to the low level of intelligence and reasoning we as a species got to? With all of this so called high quality education/higher education system; one would think we could solve anything. The fact of the matter is, we’ve learned absolutely nothing. How pathetic.
