The Caffeine Made Me Do It

Old Mexico Of Washington – A Review

Written By: Braden - Apr• 16•12

My son celebrated his 9th birthday this weekend.  Since he also had one of his best friends over Friday night through Saturday evening, we thought it would be nice to treat them both to a good place to eat; and one of their favorite places is Old Mexico of Washington.  Actually, it was my son’s friend who introduced it to us because his parents took our son there when he stayed over night with them last year.

Old Mexico starts you off with fresh, yummy tortilla chips and 2 (two!) kinds of salsa.  One is the mild, and the other is the hot salsa.  I don’t have a preference because both are equally good.

Check out the mild salsa.  Man, it’s good!

I had the chicken fajita platter, and my wife had a platter (don’t remember the name) that had so much food on it, she couldn’t finish it.  She ended up taking the rest home for later.  I too, had too much on my platter as well; damn right I took it home.

Chicken Fajita goodness!

And the toppings!

Check out my wife’s platter!

My daughter had a taco and re-fried beans, and the two boys ended up with beef and bean burritos.
It’s funny how our kids love Mexican food.  Back when I was their age, I hated it.  Weird.

Thinking of traveling up the road to El Campesino?  Don’t bother.

Old Mexico of Washington hits the ball out of the park when it comes to serving up damn tasty Mexican food.
Trust me on this.  It’s that good.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot.  Do you like chicken tortilla soup?  Then this place will make you happy, they serve the best there is.
